Director: Andrew Niccol
Starring: Nicholas Cage, Jared Leto, Ethan Hawke, and Bilbo Baggins
so, second review of the night. yep. here we go on this reveiw of that movie. don't be lazy, look at the title we wrote up there, the
one about the guns, and stuff. i think they mentioned god or jesus, or martha stuart, or maybe that spanish guy jesuus.  kinda
like equus, but not about blinding horses.

J's comments:  but in half-seriousness... i did like this movie. i didn't like how they underused the 30 seconds to mars guy. he is
a better actor than that, but it was a great movie for the first third. the ending kinda let me down a little, but you can't end every
movie with happy happy joy joy. as always nick cage was a good actor, i didn't see him as i do with other actors where you say
like, brad pitt and people think... fight club, or adam sandler and you think the movie where he acts goofy to get the girl, but with
nick cage i don't pin him with one movie. i don't know where i was going with that, but suck my ass.... the movie was good.
Vino's comments: i can't really remember this movie. i was too high on gunpowder and cocaine at the time. but if its about god
starting wars then rock on. i mean an almighty deity fucking people up for an hour and a half, how could you go wrong. damn,
that started out okay, kinda just tapered off at the end there... couldn't really... umm... yeah. roxxor!

The Cave
Director: Bruce Hunt
Los Cave... Or as they say in Mexico... El Los Cave... this film is just a metaphor for pent up sexual aggressions between evil
monsters and people.

J's comments:  And it's not a good metaphor... it's not even a bad metaphor, it's horrible; just like this movie. There was one
good part, someone in the group i was with said something to make fun of it at one point and i laughed. That was the best... no,
sorry, second best part, the best part was finally getting the fuck out of the theater.  I also saw a preview for a re-make of John
Carpenter's "The Fog". Piper Perabo didn't even pretend to act like a bartender in this movie, i want that hour and a half of my
life back....
Vino's comments: I can't really describe to you how much I hated this movie. There isn't a way that you could understand my
hatred without seeing it. So I don't wish that for you, I bear the knowledge of it for you. It is now remembered and so you need not
worry about it coming back. Just dispel the legend of it like I wish I could.

Exorcist: The Beginning
Director: Renny Harlin
Starring: Stellan Skarsgard, Izabella Scorupco, James D'Arcy
Pazuzu commands, so you must obey.!!  Father Marin goes to someplace in Africa where they found some fucked up church and
they find the physical manifestation of evil. Then they have sex with it... wait, that doesn't sound right does it? I don't know, I kinda
zoned out, wasn't paying much attention.
Aberdeen Rules.

J's comments:
I've never seen the original exorcist and I don't really plan to. I don't know where I was going with that. I didn't
really like this movie much. There were two or three cool things which all dealt with someone dying. OOOHHH Evil...
Vino's comments: Ooo, look at the sexy white text, damn... isn't it sexy? I bet you can't even remember what the black text
looked like, jeez why would we have ever done anything but this... I'm so sexified by it right now I can't even think... oh wait,
Pazuzu and such, yeah, umm... it was alright, don't spend your last dollar on it like I did with wrong turn.

Spanglish
Director:  James L. Brook
Starring:  Adam Sandler, Tea Leoni, Paz Vega, Chloris Leachman
James L. Brooks commands, so you MUST obey.!!  I mean come on... THE CRITIC...C'MON.!

J's comments: This movie was waaayy better than I expected it to be. I was like, hey, a movie for two bux... I'll watch it, whatev.
But then I was like WOW this movie is hella good. I recommend that you watch it. really, do it... eh.... ehhhhh. c'mon. It's good.
Vino's comments: Tea Leoni was a horrible, horrible, horrible bitch in this movie... oh god, you wouldn't even believe it. I mean I
watched it and I can barely imagine it. But it wasn't bad, I actually really enjoyed it. Especially because I saw it for free, so if you
can see it for free you should watch it, or even pay... it's worth it...

The Jacket
Director: John Maybury
Starring: Adrien Brody, Kiera Knightly, Kris Kristofferson
.hey did you ever see 12 monkeys? yeah, me too... pretty awesome right? well now imagine that movie, with a shitload of acid in
your system. okay, now you've seen it and we're all caught up.

J's comments: I hadn't really heard anything about this movie until vinslo said, "hey, let's go to this movie, maybe we can review
it or something. so we did, and I thought it was pretty fucking good, pretty confusing until halfway through when it started making
sense in its own weird way, I would recommend seeing it at least once in theater. MMMMMM Kiera Knightly.
Vino's comments: I want to buy a straight jacket, and wear it around. Not tied of course, but just so that I can be the first kid on
my block to have a straight jacket. Oh and the movie was pretty good, but damn wouldn't I be sexy in a straight jacket, "damn
vino" the ladies would say... But until then, I sleep alone.

Constantine
Director: Francis Lawrence
Starring: Keanu Reeves, Rachel Weisz, Peter Stormare
Special Effects = awesome. Keanu = Neo. Weisz = sorta chick from mummy, more emo. Peter Stormare = crazy, really
cool bad guy... even though he wasn't in that for very long. He was called Lou. Hell wants him, heaven won't take him,
earth needs him.

J's comments: Alright, this movie was pretty freakin' awesome. the special effects were extremely awesome. I really
liked the story, or plot, whatever you want to call it. maybe sometime i'll have to read the comic. The opening scene with
the car fucking kicked ass.
Vino's comments: I really liked the character of John Constantine. I think he could have been cooler with someone who
could have played up the sarcasm a little bit more. But overall Keanu does alright. I liked the special effects in hell,
especially the underground. it looked like a Bosch painting.

Napoleon Dynamite
Director: Jared Hess
Starring: Jon Heder, Jon Gries, Aaron Ruell
This movie doesn't have a plot. simple as that. it meanders from point to point staying at each one just long enough to
keep the audiences interest. The acting is funny, every character in this movie is a loser. but it's funny... horribly sadly
funny.

J's comments: When I first saw the previews I thought it was a bit sketchy, although I still wanted to see it. Everyone I
talked to except for Vino said it was good, really good. and now that I've seen it, I definitely agree. If you haven't seen it,
it's worth any amount of money up to 10 dollars. and that is including the price of soda.
Vino's comments: First off, I don't hate this movie. It just depresses me. Everyone is so sad, especially Uncle Rico. I did
like Kip a lot though. And despite the depression factor, it is really good. I recommend it.

Scotland, Pa.
Director: Billy Morrissette
Starring: James LeGros, Maura Tierney, Christopher Walken
We were a bit skeptical when looking for a movie, you see we were wandering around a Blockbuster, yes that shitty
place, and it was between this and Zero Effect. This won. And boy did it ever. This movie rocks. This is an adaptation of
Macbeth set in the 1970's the acting is pretty damn good, especially James LeGros. If anyone knows how to get ahold of
him, you should send the information to
one of us. He WILL be playing the lead in our next movie.

J's comments: Next time around I'll pay more attention because this movie is really well done and it deserves more of
my attention, next time around... yeah give it a B. I think it's worth a B. Yeah, a B. Not that it's a B-movie. But like school
grades. Yeah.
Vino's comments: This one time I caught my face on fire, I was trying to shave with a lighter because I hate shaving.
That was pretty funny. So was this movie. You should watch it.

Six-String Samurai
Director: Lance Mungia
Starring: Jeffrey Falcon, and a stupid kid
This movie rocks, pretty much everything about it is awesome except for the kid, and the ending. If Jeffrey Falcon doesn't get
anymore work, we're going to go to his agent's house, kill him, and rape the shit out of his dead body... But seriously renting
this  will probably only cost you 2 bucks. If you like swords, Buddy Holly, Mad Max, B-Movies, awesome movies, or if the idea
of a guitar duel titillates you, you should give it a shot.

J's favorite quote: ("Only one man could kill this many Russians... Bring me his guitar." - Death)
Vino's favorite quote: ("Float away, little butterfly. Just flutter away." - Buddy)

Starring: Cole Hauser, Eddie Cibrian, Morris Chestnut, Piper Perabo
